Spring is in the air.  The birds and the bees are flitting around doing their thing…nature abounds.  The birds are feathering their nests and laying their eggs, while the bees are busy pollinating every flower in the garden.  The air is crisp and clean.  Chirping and buzzing fills the air.

Everything seems fresh and new.  So, let’s take a new look at Spring, shall we? The first thing that comes to mind is cleaning. Ugggh.  But, let's talk about the birds and the bees instead...the part of the story that happens...

WORDS OF WISDOM: Navy Seals Motto

Our elite Special Forces are true American heroes. They are the best of the best, not only because of their proficiency in the field, but of what they stand for - HONOR.  They perform their job with discipline, skill, patience, preparation, intelligence, physical ability and mental fortitude, but more importantly, they do it for their country. Not money.  Not fame.  We will never know their names and we will never know their faces, but we trust that they will keep us safe.  We owe them much gratitude and awe for their service and sacrifice. They do it for honor. They do it with integrity...and they do it better than anyone.  They are our guardians and our heroes.  We are so proud.

And words they will secretly add to their motto's - "Listen to your Mama"- "Sit up straight", "eat your peas" and "clean your plate", and say "please and thank you", address people properly, clean up after yourself and take out the trash! And do not be full of yourself! the world does not revolve around you, be humble and respectful of others and mind your "P"'s and "Q"'s - Love ya Mom!

Thank you for your service to our country (and your contributions to this site - you always make sense to me). I have been trying to sort through my emotions the last few days and I just feel so PROUD. Proud of all our troops - proud that my country fulfilled it's promise to it's citizens by bringing justice to Bin Laden - proud that construction has finally begun at Ground Zero - proud that we are fulfilling our obligations to the first responders and families - proud that we are engaging the world. Hopefully, we can all unite around this moment and just feel proud that we are moving forward. It feels good.
