"A Bunch of Spoiled Brats": An Opinionated Mom's Perspective on the BANKING INDUSTRY

Seriously?!  Do the spoiled brats on Wall Street need a spanking?  ARGGH.  They are so frustrating!  But we know, we know…a spanking "will hurt us, more than it’ll hurt them," right?  It’s only a short-term solution, not a long-term solution…blah, blah, blah.

PIGGY BANK ECONOMICS: Americans Are Saving Money

This little piggy went wee wee wee all the way home!  Americans are saving money again. The Washington Post reports that Americans are paying down debts and boosting personal savings more quickly than expected.  Why is that news?  Well, other than just showing that we learned our lesson from Mother Goose, it means that we’ll be out there spending money sooner, rather than later…translation: the economy will be growing a little faster.  Hooray! 

We’ve got 7% less mortgage debt, 12% less in auto loans and 15% less credit card debt, according to the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.  Also, we’re saving triple what we did three years ago, according to the Commerce Department.  Great job MAMAs…we teach our KID-Os that ”a penny saved is a penny earned.” We are cutting corners and saving our pennies...pretty soon, when we go to the market, we'll be able to afford the roast beef!
