MARRIED TO THE MOB: Major Mob Families Arrested

Somebody warn Tony Soprano that the Feds are coming!  The FBI put a "hit on" seven mob families in New York, New Jersey and Rhode Island, arresting 127 people.  Bookies, “made” mob bosses, and even a couple of union officials were "clocked" (under surveillance) for alleged charges ranging from murder and extortion, to drug trafficking and racketeering.  All of the big 5 New York crime families were "pinched" (arrested) - Gambino, Colombo, Luchese and Bonanno as well as New Jersey’s DeCavalcante family.  The sweep represents the largest arrest of organized crime figures in recent history.  But, MAMAs, this was reality, not a made for TV movie.  "Oobatz," (crazy) right?

So, “you can pick your friends, but you cant pick your family, at least not your real family...the "blood is thicker than water" kind of family.   So, it’s up to us to make sure that “la familia” is there for our kids.  Because, if kids don’t feel connected, they find a proxy "family" to identify with - a gang, a mob, a group of friends that might not be a good influence, but make them feel important and empowered.  So, Opinionated MAMAs, as they say - "cosa nostra" (this thing is ours) - let’s make sure we don't put up with wise guys and keep our mob close to home!
