Love is in the air.  Hearts and roses.  Hugs and kisses.  Love.  Love.  Sweet love. We dream about it, write poems about it, watch movies about it, listen to sappy songs about it.  It makes us laugh, it makes us cry, it makes us do crazy things. Love, sweet love.

IT’S COMPLEX: World Trade Center Rebuild

The political battle over how and what to do about rebuilding the twin towers has been going on for years.  Now, there is a plan and progress.  It will be a giant, sixteen acre building constructed on top of the new foundation, which has been under construction for three years.  However, it will look like multiple buildings.  Currently there are 1,400 construction workers and that number will be 2,100 by next year.  One World Trade is the structure expected to open in late 2013. 

MOMism: “Stand tall.”  When bad things happen, we teach our kids not to dwell on the past and to move forward.  They should look ahead and put their efforts toward the future. We will never forget 9-11 and the complex issues that moment in time has raised for our country and the world.  But, we also must never forget that we are strong, proud nation that stands tall in the face of adversity. It’s nice to imagine the towers rebuilt as a sign that we, as a nation, are looking toward our collective future.  Bigger, brighter and better than ever.
