Love is in the air.  Hearts and roses.  Hugs and kisses.  Love.  Love.  Sweet love. We dream about it, write poems about it, watch movies about it, listen to sappy songs about it.  It makes us laugh, it makes us cry, it makes us do crazy things. Love, sweet love.

CASHING IN: Insurance Fraud Against Military Families

MetLife Inc and Prudential Financial Inc have been subpoenaed by the New York attorney general in an investigation of insurance fraud.   Military families are claiming that the companies did not pay out hundreds of millions in death benefits on policies they bought for their loved ones.   These family members claim that they did not know how the insurers would use their money.   Allegedly, their payouts were not in lump sums, but instead went to “retained asset” accounts that benefited the insurers, rather than the dead service members' families. 

MOMism: “Stealing someone's heart.” We are the most vulnerable when heart-broken.  We need to be comforted, grounded, loved and supported.  For companies to prey on people during this difficult time is a crime.
