Update 7/20- The House passed the "cut,cap and balance" legislation, which will now go the Senate.  The plan would allow $2.4 trillion increase in the spending cap, but requires immediate spending cuts and a constitutional balanced budget amendment.  The plan is not expected to pass a Senate vote.

The congresswoman from Minnesota made it official today - she's running for President!  Bachmann came to play at the first GOP debate, looking strong, poised and informed.  She’s a Tea Party darling, a la Palin, but is being taken more seriously post-debate.  Bachmann has consistently said her goal is to make Obama "a one term President" and priority number one would be to "repeal Obamacare."...
