Absolutely! I think all bullies are in some sort of pain. It is self-loathing or insecurity that makes them diminish others to feel powerful/control. Your childhood bully was battling his own insecurities about who is was, so he lashed out, when he just needed to know he was loved. A recent study published in the journal of Pediatrics says that kids are more likely to be bullied if they are overweight.
