instead of raising taxes, and medicare, and building new prisons, why dont they just send all the criminals to other parts of the world and let them take care of business for the people.ie.war,executions on war criminals,drugs,guns,welfare.etc,etc.if they dont do what they are told, ship em off to a island,of thier very own.on 11/11/10Reply

My spiritual journey into motherhood began with the birth of my oldest son. His pregnancy even. I found that growing a life inside of me and then pushing that little person into this world was one of the most empowering, powerful, wonderous, spiritual things I have ever done. To look into my son's eyes as he was still connected to me via umbilical cord was magical and eye opening. The idea that my body had housed and nourished a person inside of it was quite literally mind blowing!on 11/03/10Reply

I agree. Being a mommy has changed the way I feel about so many things. My little one has helped me to figure out what matters most to me and to separate the the important matters from the frivilous wastes of time. I really think that learning to listen to her to interpret her needs before she could talk is what has helped me to become more spiritual... sort of able to listen to the universe.on 06/10/10Reply

Isn't motherhood the ultimate spiritual experience? I don't care what religion you practice...the fact is that our kids make us tap into that unseen place in our souls...and theirs. Some things we have to give up to whatever "higher power" we have in our mind's eye, and some of the things our kids do and say can only be explained by us as love and purity incarnate.
