@NOELLE81177 - Thinking about you today...I thought I read somewhere that you are getting chemo again today?! Anyway, I hope you aren't too nauseous - have you tried ginger root or sucking on ginger candies? Stay strong MAMA!!!on 12/17/10Reply

- Hi JellyBeans! Yep - whenever a room is activated, we check in to monitor the conversation. We usually don't pipe in bc we want to hear what other MAMAS have to say...we vent in the Hot Buttons, radio, videos and weekly opinions! (-: So, we think you guys know what we think?!@#!?! Anyway, a couple weeks ago we saw your post about handicapped MAMAS - GREAT IDEA. So, we made a room for it, but nobody's been in there yet...if you know other handicapped mamas let them know about it...or organizations and we'll reach out to them. Thanks MAMA! Check it out: http://www.o-mama.com/chat_rooms/discuss/handicapped-mamason 11/16/10Reply
- sorry michelle, i never saw it; i just came back to my original post when i i checked my email and saw no response. my bad!on 11/16/10Reply
- No worries MAMA! We would love your help...we want to build a site to help moms connect to each other and the issues of the day, so any advice you have we'll take! (-: We would love your insights for the handicapped mamas room. Deb is going to research and post some links today...suggestions?on 11/16/10Reply

think it's time to change the question of the week yet? i'd like to know how many o-mamas are in wheelchairs or have other disabilities. there comes a point when you're not a caregiver for your kids anymore and they become YOUR caregivers. should we have our own discussion group - Handicapped O-MAMAS?on 10/29/10Reply
- What do you think the new question should be??? Any interest in writing a little blog in the handicapped mamas room - just little paragraph venting a bit??? We will send a blast to other MAMAS battling illness to try and spark some more conversation and build some relationships in here. Let us know your other ideas... Thanks MAMA.on 11/16/10Reply

Ladies - make your appointments and ask your doctors about genetic screening and the new breast MRI technology!on 10/20/10Reply

"i'd like to see more of you." i haven't told them because i don't want them to feel guilty or worse yet, "squeeze" me into their lives because i've dropped off their daily radar. "out of sight, out of mind."on 10/15/10Reply
- Tell them. Tell them. Sometimes people do forget to touch base simply because they are busy and they think you'll always be there. Tell them things are not o.k. Let them love you and appreciate you. Don't waste another minute, tell them. What do you have to lose?on 10/16/10Reply

SORRY TO REPORT WHAT MY SISTER SAID "NO ONE CARES OR HELPS ANYONE ANYMORE" SEEMS TO BE TRUE, I THANK THE LORD HE IS THERE FOR ME, I DON'T FEEL ANYONE ELSE, GUESS I WON'T HAVE THAT SURGERY AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS.on 10/07/10Reply

THAT IT ISN'T ALWAYS THE BIG (CANCER, ETC) THAT ARE THE MOST PAINFUL AND FRIGHTENING, SOMETIMES FEELING DEPRESSED AND ALONE CAN DO MORE DAMAGE.on 10/04/10Reply
- Great point. It isn't always the most obvious illness that causes the most pain. Good news mama- we aren't alone, moms have each other!!! You can connect anytime on this site...and talk about anything anonymously. I'm here, if you want to chat...there is a lot of support here.on 10/06/10Reply

- Yes it does! There was a study done that said something like 90% of Americans thought their quality of life would improve just by someone saying "please" or "thank you"...it's simple stuff, that makes a big difference. So, Mar1950, have a great day MAMA!on 10/01/10Reply

What I would like people to know about cancer, since I beat it, is that if you listen to your doctors and don't think for yourself, calling them on it when it sounds wrong, you will die like my mother did. BE YOUR OWN ADVOCATE.on 09/24/10Reply
- YES YES YES. Doctors are "practicing" medicine, they are not perfect, they do not have all the answers. We need to be our own advocates!!!on 09/24/10Reply

I am a mom with Multiple Sclerosis. Just had my 5th "anniversary" of my diagnosis. I am married with two young children. Just learned about this site, and hope to learn, grow and share with other moms who are dealing with chronic health conditions like mine (Lyme disease, Fibromyalgia, Lupus, Rheumatoid Arthritis, etc...) I also blog about my experiences with marriage, motherhood and MS at www.divaonadetour.wordpress.com for anyone interested. Looking forward to having great dialogues with others through this site!on 05/23/10Reply
- AMAZING. There are so many incredible, courageous moms on this site. I am so interested in hearing your perspectives...and how the broader community of moms can support you and your kids. We all know someone who knows someone who is chronically ill, but we never know what to say or do...hopefully, your insights will help all of us. Thank you!on 05/23/10Reply
- Hi HeadSisterMom ~ I went to your blog. You are an amazing lady! Hope we hear more from you. I have fibromyalgia and it has changed my life completely. I have taken several courses from Bruce Campbell on the internet and it has helped me greatly. It is for people with fibro and chronic fatigue mainly, but others who have health challenges could be helped with it also. Can't think of the web site at the moment, but if you google Bruce Campbell, you'll get there.on 06/05/10Reply
- Thanks Red Hat Granny! Thanks also for checking out my blog - I will take a look at Bruce Campbell's website - I appreciate the referral very much. Much luck and love to you along your journey. Be well, Lindaon 06/05/10Reply

My friend just did some new halo scan for breast cancer...kind of a sucking machine that can detect cancer earlier than regular mammogram...anyone else heard about it?on 10/03/09Reply

I can't even...my heart breaks for moms with kids that are sick. All I want in life is to keep my kids safe and healthy...to kiss their boo boos and make them better. To help take away any pain. It is NOT FAIR. And, as a mom with three (knock on wood) healthy kids, what do we say to moms dealing with this nightmare? Stay strong? of course. We have you in our prayers? of course. Can I bring you dinner? Help with your carpool? Sit with you? What do moms with sick kids need from their friends??? We want to be there, but sometimes we just don't know what to do...on 09/28/09Reply
