"Attention Grabbers"
When our KID-Os want attention, they whine, stand on their head, hop on one foot, make lots of noise, throw spit wads and generally act up...they pull out all of the stops! We see the same behavior in the "news" media. When they want us to watch, they run stories about Kim Kardashian's 72 day marriage and Justin Beiber's baby-not his baby-baby - watch me, watch me. It might be entertaining for a MOMent, but if we give the media the attention they want for all the silly stories they run, they will continue giving us non-sense (and scaling walls and taping phones to get even juicer juice). How about some good old-fashioned reporting of the facts, instead of creating the news or hyping the infotainment?
Just like with our kids, we should not reinforce bad behavior and only reward the good behavior!?
