GOV'T: President Obama
After the AZ shooting: "How we treat eachother is entirely up to us." The president said it in his memorial speech and MAMAs say it to our KID-Os often. We teach our kids that the way they treat their friends and family can make them happy or sad, laugh or cry, feel good or bad.
This week, we have been sad. But, we saw our nation come together, once again, through adversity. We are reminded that we are country of everyday heroes and there is profound goodness and a sense of community. We have been inspired by neighbors and strangers...and our connection to our American family. We are in this together, for better or worse. So, let's make it better MAMAs! Let's live up to our children's expectations.
This weekend, do what you always do...tell your kids how much you love them and squeeze them tightly. You might even let them jump in a puddle or two. (-:
