Healthcare is rearing its head again on the national agenda. But, it is not the benefits of healthcare reform that we are discussing, but the constitutionality of the new law, as it relates to the mandated coverage. The “commerce clause” is what everyone is talking about Article 1, Section 8-3 says:
(The Congress shall have the power) To regulate Commerce with foreign Nations, and among the several States and with the Indian tribes;”
Well, the point of contention about Obamacare is the part that says everyone must purchase insurance. Some say that this violates the Commerce clause because the federal government can only mandate commerce between states, not within states.
What are your opinions MAMAs?

It is against the law. Commerce means something or product moving between states. it has nothing to do with obama trying to mandate, or i choose to say in another way, just tell us and force us to buy a product which goes against our basic rights. Have been ranting and raving about letting the camels nose under the tent every since they started with smoking and that started it all and look at them now and how ridiculous everything has gotten. U better home this is shot down by the US Supreme Court cuz a Federal Judge out of Florida already said it was not constitutional but yet Obama wants to keep fighting and worse yet he doesn't want the US Supreme Court to reach down and take that case like right now to make their decision. One has to wonder why cuz u would think they would want a ruling. They can tell u to do this, there will never be an end to what the government could tell us citizens what to do and that is Obama's agenda, socialist, dictator, communist and very left radical. Research him yourslef cuz what u will find out about him and his wife is flat scary but not surprising/
