THE WORD IS OUT: National Coming Out Day

It’s Columbus Day…and National Coming Out Day, as well.  For gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender people, this day celebrates the act of them accepting and sharing their sexual orientation.  The day has been celebrated by the gay community since 1988.  Recent suicides over anti-gay bullying has made this years’ celebrations in remembrance of the kids who have died because of taunting and/or isolation over their sexual identity.

MOMism: Be who you are.  We teach our kids not to lie…to themselves or others.  Today kids across the country are going to tell the truth.  Sometimes the truth hurts…but, these kids don’t want to lie anymore…they just want to be loved and accepted by the people they love…so, as their moms, we should open our arms wide, hug our kids tightly and tell them how much we love them. MAMAS, our kids need us, so don’t freak out…hug it out!

I am very adamantly against anyone trying to steal and bully and lie. This is what "gays" are all about. First they attack the word marriage, and try to redefine that. Then they get obama to pass legislation that allows them to bully everyone, with threats of false charges for hate crimes simply for not agreeing with them. And now they want to redefine Columbus Day? This phenomenon is nothing more than a mental defect, and is not something that should be catered to any more than a drug addiction. I do not hate "gays" any more than I would someone suffering from a similar mental condition, like multiple personalities, but I do think they should be treated, not enabled this way, as it is like making whiskey free for alcoholics. I saw all the other stories regarding this issue, and am just plain tired of having to address such ridiculous ideas. Whatever happened to facts and reality when it comes to this issue? Why all the fairy tales and manipulative lies? That is what causes all the problems. The judge who claimed that the ban on gay marriage was unconstitutional was only using his position as a judge to further his own personal interests, as he himself is gay. I would call that a horrific misuse of his judicial power and would call for his removal from the bench. He simply didn't agree with the result of a the vote revealing the fact that majority of the people do not agree with this any more than I do, and he defied the will of the people to suit himself.
As far as them being in the military, if I were a soldier, I would definitely be uncomfortable being stuck in such close quarters with them, especially when it came to personal hygiene. After having enough of them making unwanted advances toward me, I see gay women to be just as welcome in that situation as a man would be. Can hardly wait til the whole issue of public restrooms falls into play. A gay woman looks at women the same as a man would, so not really appropriate for her to use the womens' restroom, due to that simple fact. So, do they need to have their own built? And if they do, are they going to demand a special one for each different variety of their sexual deviance? (They do think we should all roll over and revise our lives to accommodate them.) Expecting the whole country to restructure our lives and how we live them, in all ways, as to not offend "gays" is about as realistic as expecting every American to learn spanish so that we can enable and accommodate illegal immigrants.

This summer, my son came out to me. This was after he tried to kill himself because he did not believe anyone would accept him. We are recent converts to the Mormon church – my sons idea – see, he thought that with enough prayer and good deeds, he could change. Well guess what, you can not change the way your brain is wired. My son is gay and I am very proud of him and while he is still struggling, I thank God everyday that he is still alive. Its unfortunate because people believe that they can share their viewpoints and try to force others to live by them. What they are really doing is making children, teens, and young adults feel like they are unworthy and are better off dead – because they are gay. I am so angry that wonderfully talented, smart, caring young men have taken their lives because of same sex attraction and the horrible bullying that they are subjected too. Because they couldnt talk to anyone, because their families rejected them, because ther religion said they were bad, because the media and extremely sad hateful people are constantly calling them names and putting them down. No one has the right to call my son a name because he is gay – just like no one has the right to call my other son a name because he has a brain injury. We as parents, as mothers, need to stand up – right behind our gay children and force this country to accept them and love them they way they are! It is not acceptable for any child to feel that suicide is the answer. I will fight with all that I have to keep my son alive, just as I would my other 3 children. I am sick and tired of ignorant people condemning my son because of his sexual orientation – they miss the fact that he is gifted, a straight A student, pre-med, student body president, involved in more volunteer activities that can be mentioned in such a short space, and a very gifted violinist. He is by all accounts a wonderful young man that has done more good on this earth in his short life than other 2-3 times his age. Its amazing that people can ignore that the moment they find out he is gay. Shame on you! Shame on you for thinking you are righteous enough to judge another human being! And be warned – all of you – you are not picking on one young man, you are now picking on his entire family, which will stand by him and force any and all harrassers to either back down or face charges for harrassment. I will no longer keep silent about my rage against the ignorant that were accomplices to the murder – not just suicide – of all those wonderful young men that took their lives. If 1 in 10 young men or women are LGBT, then that a whole lot of families that can stand up and fight against this. Homophobia is the true mental disorder that needs to be treated!!! MAMA'S – these are our children, we can not afford to let them down!

"On the subject of “The National Coming Out Day” “…Momma's don’t freak out, Hug it Out!" <<—Now THAT'S MommaMorals!!! ^5 To me…? PERSONALLY…?
It seems to me that more and more, with each passing year, the TRUE PANDEMICS, now raging and racing over this entire earth… are,
    1. Radical intolerance, unsubstantiated hate, socially accepted violence 2. Corrupt exploitation of peoples fears in order to manipulate the masses & indoctrinate the young.
    3. Self-sustaining ignorance & blind denial of facts, due to either the "absence of education" or an “utter aversion” to enlightenment of mind and soul
    4. Capitalistic and politically driven greed & dishonesty

Sadly enough, these garish & widespread, "Viruses of the Soul", are actively spreading throughout our World, and are traced so easily from their origins. From "Humanities" darkest ages past, right through until today… these hate based, all-consuming diseases have continued to be spread with persistent tenacity. Customarily known to be passed on through people, using their personal religious “Beliefs” as the “Evidence, Fact & Reasoning” behind archaic ideologies.
